I took the political ideology quiz and it said I was a Hard Pressed Democrat, even though I've never really been on either side mostly because I disagree with a lot of what they both stand for. I know it is kind of childish of me but I don't like to vote, even though it is a privilege to be able to vote. I just always thought why should I have to choose between two people that I hate? So really I don't have I any political influences or experiences because I don't exercise my voting rights, I really just stay away from the conversations all together. Mostly because all people want to do is argue if you don't agree with them and I like to be as peaceful as possible, and I feel if everyone could agree to disagree maybe we could just live in harmony. This is why I am taking this course (also because it's part of my degree plan) but I am tired of being misinformed about the government and I'm ready to know more about it and do my part as an American citizen to exercise my voting rights.I completely bombed the Civics quiz and scored below 56% of voters in the current events quiz, so I think it's safe to say I have a lot to learn in this course.
